About me
I am an experienced doctoral-level therapist devoted to facilitating mental wellness for individuals who struggle with the impact of neurodivergence, trauma, parenting needs, military service, and ethnic/identity diversities.
Hello! I am Dr. Arenas Nieves, helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. I have over 15 years of experience working with adults, couples, and families. I am licensed in AZ, FL, and NY, have supervisor designations in AZ and FL, and am trained as a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional for both adults and youth.
Throughout my career, I have supported military service members, veterans and their families, as well as people from diverse backgrounds—including those exploring their ethnic, gender, and sexual identities, young people navigating challenges, and couples strengthening relationships. What makes my approach unique is that I do not just rely on proven methods—I also honor the parts of your life that matter most to you, like your spirituality, personal values, and what makes you uniquely you. I am direct and genuine, deeply committed to helping you reach your wellness goals.
I use approaches that have helped countless people break free from patterns that no longer serve them. One method helps you shift the way you think about your experiences, which can make a real difference in how you feel. Another approach focuses on finding practical solutions that work for you and your loved ones, helping you move forward in meaningful ways.
Here is what I want you to know: You are not alone. We all face difficult moments in our lives. And while it can feel isolating, you do not have to go through it by yourself. I am here to walk alongside you.
I am currently accepting new individual clients in AZ, FL, and NY, as well as supervisees in AZ. My couples and family caseload is full at this time. Telehealth sessions are available for your convenience.
Are you ready to start your journey to mental wellness? Are you ready to be your best Clinical Self? Are you ready to reach your life and professional goals?
