Dr. Alex is a doctoral-level psychotherapist with a master's in psychology and a post-doctoral re-specialization in psychology, with an emphasis on health psychology, substance abuse, and addiction. Dr. Alex holds graduate-level specializations in conflict mediation and alternative dispute resolution, emphasizing couples and family mediation. Dr. Alex also completed the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy Certifications Levels 1 and 2, which allows the process to integrate a holistic approach to couples' mediation and conflict resolution. Dr. Alex has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field.
Dr. Alex is also an independently licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC 1) under the authority of the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, Department of Public Health of Massachusetts. Dr. Alex has served individuals experiencing psychiatric disability, dual diagnosis, substance abuse and addiction, and Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED) from a broad spectrum of populations and multicultural origins. Dr. Alex only serves clients of 21 years of age and above.
