About me
I am a fully licensed therapist with a focus on grief, loss, bereavement, and life transitions. Whether you are coping with the death of a loved one, a major life change, or a shift in your sense of identity, you don't have to navigate it alone. I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where healing can unfold, resilience can grow, and meaningful change can take shape at your own pace.
Change is an inevitable part of life. Some changes we choose and actively pursue, while others arrive unexpectedly and alter the course of our lives without warning. Even positive changes require adjustment, asking us to adapt to a new reality and, often, a new version of ourselves.
When change is unwanted or accompanied by loss, it can bring a wide range of emotions, including shock, anxiety, numbness, sadness, anger, guilt, helplessness, depression, and yearning. Grief affects every aspect of our lives—not only our emotions, but also our thoughts, relationships, behaviors, and physical well-being. It can impact concentration, decision-making, sleep, appetite, and our ability to engage fully in daily life.
Grief is not something to "get over," but rather something we learn to carry and integrate into our lives. With support, it is possible to find meaning, build resilience, and move forward while honoring what has been lost.
Clients seek my support for many types of grief and loss, including the death of a loved one or beloved pet, relationship loss, divorce, employment changes, financial hardship, and the loss of hoped-for plans, identities, or futures. These experiences can profoundly affect how we see ourselves and our place in the world.
As a fully licensed therapist with advanced training and certification in grief counseling, I specialize in helping individuals navigate loss, life transitions, and the complex emotions that accompany them. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach that can help process traumatic experiences and reduce emotional distress.
My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities while fostering a collaborative, nonjudgmental space grounded in empathy, authenticity, and, when appropriate, humor.
Whether you are coping with a recent loss or struggling with grief that has been present for years, I am here to help you navigate the path toward healing, connection, and renewed hope.
