About me
I am a BACP-accredited counsellor with more than 20 years of professional experience across therapeutic, rehabilitation and behavioural health settings.
My work is CBT-informed, practical and goal-oriented. I help clients understand the patterns linking their thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and develop strategies that support meaningful and lasting change. Where useful, I also draw on psychodynamic, compassion-focused and trauma-informed approaches.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, loss of direction, career pressures and major life transitions. I also have substantial experience supporting people struggling with alcohol, drugs, pornography, compulsive sexual behaviour and other repetitive or addictive patterns that can become difficult to control.
Many of the people I work with are functioning well on the outside but feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected or increasingly dissatisfied with how they are living. This can be particularly common among professionals, people carrying significant responsibility, and those going through major personal or cultural transitions.
My approach is structured, collaborative and active. I often suggest beginning with a focused block of 4–6 sessions. During this time, we clarify the main difficulties, identify important patterns and triggers, agree priorities and begin developing practical tools. From there, we can decide together whether further work would be useful.
I do not see therapy simply as a place to talk about problems. My aim is to help you develop greater clarity, self-understanding, emotional resilience and practical skills that continue to be useful outside therapy and after our work ends.
I work internationally with adults from a wide range of professional and cultural backgrounds. I also have particular experience working with people who have relocated between countries or are adapting to major changes in identity, relationships, work or belonging.
Therapy is available in both English and Russian.
I value a straightforward, respectful and collaborative therapeutic relationship. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you understand what is happening, identify where change may be needed, and work with you towards realistic and meaningful progress.
