About me
I am a mental health therapist knowledgeable in helping you navigate your journey to healing & wellness, accessing your primary resource--YOU
Everyone has a story and mine isn't over.
My life script is in progress, but it includes emotional engagement, grief, panic, heartbreak, divorce, fear, vulnerability, healing, and spiritual awakening. And yet, these don't define ALL of me. It's a mix of phrases that demonstrate a snippet of what my life script has been. Since my life is a journey, I'm still creating the script.
You're not responsible for the hand you were dealt. You are responsible for your own awareness and healing so that you can become far more than who you thought you would be.
My life didn't end up what I envisioned it to be and I'm at peace with that. I wouldn't have changed the invaluable lessons I've learned from raising two beautiful daughters and discovering life outside of marriage. After homeschooling, I returned to the workforce continuing what I've always known and loved---mental health. Since Covid, mental health issues have taken on a new meaning and its impacts are pervasive and saddening.
However, my mantra has always been and always will be---HOPE!
Should you decide to make a telehealth appointment, here is what you should know. I have knowledge and experience in treating a variety of conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, grief, emotional dysregulation, relationship issues, parenting and behavior modification techniques, divorce recovery, conflict resolution, anger management, and effective communication. Although no particular treatment modality is imposed, those utilized can include CBT, DBT, IFS, ERP, and Trauma Informed Healing practices. I am certified in EMDR.
My approach to therapy incorporates sensitivity, compassion, empathy, and trust while honoring confidentiality, religious or spiritual beliefs and self-determination.
Everyone has a story, and your story isn't over.....
