About me
I am a bilingual, bicultural Latinx therapist supporting children, adolescents, families, and adults to work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and stressful life transitions.
I love facilitating the therapeutic process because I believe that everyone deserves to be acknowledged, to find their voice, and to be heard! In the therapeutic work, I take into account the many identities we embody and how society and culture impact our mental health. It brings me great satisfaction and humility to be in a role where my clinical knowledge, skills, and warm approach nourishes transformation from distress to confidence and contentment.
My approach is warm, transparent, and collaborative, with a dose of humor to support healing.. My aim is to build a trustworthy relationship with you or your family, from which we can jointly address the difficulties that cause distress in life. Together we will explore complex emotions or stressors in life, integrate suitable strategies and build healthier habits to adjust the way you feel, think, and behave in order to move towards a more enriching and fulfilling life. In other words, we will work to get you through a challenging situation(s) or to better understand the difficult emotions you are experiencing withholding the full expression of your true self.
My aspirations are that you will feel more courageous and poised in your authentic self. I hope that, through our collaboration, your family and your relationships will feel more balanced, fulfilled, and manageable. Similarly, my purpose is to support you in weaving and integrating the techniques and strategies learned in therapy, to help you to feel less overwhelmed with stress or overcome with pain and experience more calm and joy. Because I am both sensitive and aware that seeking professional help can be a difficult decision or process for many people, I want to build the discipline within my clients to seek therapy whenever life necessities it.
