I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in both Texas and Montana. As a certified sex therapist, I love helping couples develop, deepen, and enhance their intimacy in marriage, emotionally, spiritually and sexually.

Being a therapist is one of the greatest privileges one can have. I have a great appreciation for receiving an individual’s and/or a couple’s trust. I maintain a great respect for the vulnerability in getting invited to join in on an individual’s sexual healing process or a couple’s therapeutic journey of reclaiming sexual intimacy to their marriage. Licensed in Texas in 1992 as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I have inpatient and outpatient experience within various organizations and private practice. I opened my practice ACTSolutions in 1999, and began focusing on sexual intimacy issues and sexuality in 2005. I was certified as a sex therapist (CST) in 2008 under the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists (ABCST). In 2015, I gained a certification as a sex addiction therapist (CSAT) through International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP). I never cease to be amazed at a person’s desire for growth, tenaciousness for being loved, and resiliency for healing after trauma. In all the aspects of our make up as humans, I don’t know that there is any area of our lives more vulnerable to shame, trauma and confusion than our sexuality. My passion is to help individuals and couples rebuild, reclaim, redeem and restore their sexuality and sexual relationships.
I believe in the powerful therapeutic dynamic of group work and have had the incredible opportunities to see lives change due to the effectiveness of groups. Since 2007, I have been running groups for women who have been sexually betrayed. I co-facilitated Sexual Integrity Groups for men from 2009 through 2016. In 2016, I began offering groups for women who experience sexual pain. In 2017 I began co-facilitating sexual intimacy groups for couples.
In December of 2023, my husband of 31 years, and I moved to Stevensville, Montana. In February 2024 I obtained my LMFT and LCPC status in Montana. The purpose of the move is to offer in person intensives for couples, and groups of couples. These intensives are not for couples “at the end of their rope” or trying “a last ditch effort to save the marriage.” The intensives are Marital Intimacy Experiences (MIE). Currently the two main areas of focus for the MIEs are: 1) working with couples who choose to restore their marriage after betrayal trauma and sexual addiction; and to reclaim their sexual intimacy. 2) couples who experience sexual pain and desiring to find healing and enjoyment in their sexual relationship.
I am able to provide 15 / 18 hours of therapy in 3 / 5 days. The MIE allows for couples to get away from the busyness of life and distractions in order to focus on their intimacy. During the MIE, couples receive nurturing attention, opportunity for self-reflection, spiritual awareness, focused connection, identifiable transformation all the while enjoying nature.
I do use a faith based approach when working with individual and couples, believing that the emotional, spiritual and sexual aspects of intimacy are integrated and intertwined.
