About me
Are you a stressed-out university student or dealing with a major life overhaul? Maybe brand new at the job, uprooted by a move across country or bombarded by the pressures of life on campus? An exhausted new parent, navigating tricky relationships with adult kids or reinventing yourself after retirement? Our lives are full of change and change is tough but a tremendous chance for reflection and growth. Learning to manage these changes intentionally and effectively will pave the way for what comes next.
I help adults navigate transitions in their lives and to feel empowered making changes in their relationships, career or personal goals. I work successfully with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship and family struggles, self-esteem issues and grief and loss.
As an experienced therapist, I provide an eclectic mix of therapeutic interventions individualized to best meet your needs. Together, we will develop a treatment strategy that focuses on the path ahead and the issues you are ready to address. I look forward to hearing from you!
I have an office in central Denver, near Cherry Creek mall, as well as provide teletherapy for Denver folks who prefer the convenience of meeting virtually. I have always specialized in working with young adults and my work with college and graduate students remains strong. In addition to my availability in CO and MI, I am also licensed to provide therapy in IL.
I have a bachelor's degree from University of Michigan and a masters in social work from University of Chicago. In addition to private practice, I have worked in an outpatient clinic, psychiatric hospital, and school settings. I have extensive experience treating adults with mood issues such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as adjustment struggles, such as divorce, grief and loss, postpartum depression and the transition into young adulthood.
I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavioral strategies for symptom relief and fuller life satisfaction, with an insight-oriented approach to help you better understand unhealthy choice or repetitive patterns in your life.
