About me
Practical, Skills-Based Counseling and Coaching From the Comfort of Your Own Couch
If you’re looking for therapy that helps you feel clearer, more grounded, and more in control of your life, you’re in the right place. My work is designed to give you practical tools, new insight, and real momentum — not just a space to talk, but a way to create meaningful change you can feel in your daily life and relationships.
Clients often come to me because something no longer feels manageable or sustainable. Maybe the stress is piling up, communication has broken down, or you’re feeling disconnected from yourself or your partner. What you really want is relief, clarity, confidence, and a path forward that actually works. That is exactly what we build together.
When you work with me, therapy isn’t something abstract or theoretical. It’s direct, actionable, and tailored to your life. You’ll gain the skills to communicate better, make decisions with more clarity, set healthier boundaries, understand your patterns, and create steadier emotional footing. Most clients tell me they start feeling the benefits not only in session, but in their home life, their work life, and their relationships almost immediately.
Before becoming a therapist (I refer to this as my more meaningful encore career), I spent 25 years in corporate leadership, strategic planning, and change management. That experience gives me a real-world understanding of stress, communication challenges, and the emotional toll of constant demands. It also gives me the ability to help clients create change that fits naturally into their lives rather than adding more pressure or unrealistic expectations.
While my counseling and coaching training and corporate experience shape the way I understand stress, communication, and change, my approach is centered on what you need. What matters most is how your life improves — how your evenings feel calmer, how your relationships feel warmer, how work feels more manageable, and how you begin to recognize yourself again.
A little background to give context: I began doing executive coaching in 2005 and quickly noticed that many clients needed deeper emotional support to truly thrive. That led me to pursue counseling training, and I added counseling services to my executive coaching practice in 2012. Since then, I’ve helped individuals and couples move through stress, conflict, transitions, and disconnection into a place of greater confidence, clarity, and connection.
You don’t need long explanations or clinical jargon to get started — you just need a supportive partnership and the right tools. Sessions with me feel conversational and grounded, with a focus on building skills and insights you can use right away. My clients appreciate that I offer both understanding and direction, warmth and structure. You will leave each session knowing what you can try next, and why it matters.
I work well with individuals who want to feel more balanced, less overwhelmed, and more hopeful about where they’re headed. Whether you’re facing burnout, a big life shift, or simply that nagging sense that things should feel better than they do, we’ll work together to steady the ground beneath your feet and help you move forward confidently.
I also support couples who want to reconnect, communicate without spiraling into arguments, and rebuild trust, closeness, and teamwork. The work we do often helps couples understand each other in new ways and gives them tools they can immediately put into practice. If you and your partner are unsure about your future together, I offer Discernment Counseling to help you get clear on what comes next.
All of my sessions are offered online, so you can participate in counseling and coaching from the comfort of your own couch. This makes it easier to stay consistent and fully present. I also offer afternoon and evening appointments so therapy fits into your life rather than competing with it.
Each session is tailored to your goals and your pace. You will receive a blend of reflection, skill-building, and practical steps. My goal is to help you create sustainable progress in the direction that matters most to you.
Getting started is easy. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can talk through what you’re looking for, answer your questions, and get a feel for whether we’re a good match. There is no pressure or obligation — just a comfortable starting point. You can find a link to my scheduling app on my website: www.newchaptersolutions.com and be sure to select the "Prospective Client 20-minute Consult" appointment type.
If you’re ready to feel more grounded, connected, and supported, I would love to talk. Let’s begin the next chapter together.
