About me
I am a counseling intern completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Substance Use Disorders at Colorado Christian University (graduating December 2025). I have over two years of experience in correctional and community settings and practice under supervision to ensure the highest quality of care.
My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, and I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), expressive arts therapy, and addiction counseling. I work with clients navigating trauma, emotional regulation, substance use, and major life changes. I also have a growing passion for perinatal and postpartum mental health, offering support to parents and parents-to-be during these seasons of transition.
Clients can expect a collaborative space where they feel heard, validated, and empowered to move toward resilience and growth.
I’m Deaven Sais, a counseling intern and mom who believes healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy. I bring warmth, honesty, and a touch of humor into the counseling room because I know how overwhelming life can get — especially during big transitions like becoming a parent. I want clients to feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are, knowing they will be met with compassion, curiosity, and support.
