About me
The challenges facing children, teens, and young adults today are exceptional, as well as navigating parenting in a world bound with pressures from every area of life. Families, more than ever, struggle to stay steady, stay grounded, and stay consistent, while raising little humans to succeed in our society. As a therapist, former teacher and parent of 5 myself, I realize all too well what the issues are and know how our youth can be supported through counseling. Building relationships with my clients, as well as collaboration with families, is the key to success in my practice.
Rooted in person-centered therapy, I believe in each individual's capacity for growth and healing. Through relationship, I create a space where authenticity and self-acceptance will thrive. Each child, teen and young adult has the unique ability to achieve anything possible when they believe in themselves!
While grounded in person-centered approach to therapy, which holds strong belief in the therapeutic relationship and a deep trust in my client's innate wisdom, I also integrate tools from mindfulness, narrative therapy, expressive arts, and other approaches, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the individual. My approach is warm, collaborative and respectful of each unique story. This is a space where clients are met with unconditional positive regard and allowance for their own timeline. I work with clients toward self-actualization, resilience and the ability to meet life's challenges with confidence.
