I am a clinical psychologist seeking to help others find balance and health in their lives. I have been working with clients for 30 years, bringing balance to the body, mind, emotions, spirit, and relationships.

Most of my clients have reached a point at which their lives have become uncomfortable & maybe even untenable. They may be nervous about embarking on the therapeutic journey with a stranger. Often, this is their first experience with therapy. Or, perhaps, they have been in therapy on & off throughout their lives. Because this is new & anxiety-provoking, we move slowly at first. My clients do not want to be pushed into talking about trauma or uncomfortable life events until they are ready. I respect & honor that. Most people want to move at their own pace & will tell me what that means. As trust grows, we are able to begin healing.

I am a Navy vet w/a BA (psych-SDSU) & MS/PhD (adult clinical psych-Auburn University). I retired from the VA in 2019. I'm mainly a psychodynamic therapist w/additional training.

Within an established therapeutic relationship, we can explore current and (if necessary) past events that have led you to this place of discomfort. I believe that problems do not just begin on their own. They are often slow-growing and based on many experiences. In the safety of the relationship, we can find the source(s) and work to create healing.
