Experienced psychotherapist with an extensive and varied background in human services and mental health serving a wide diversity of people along the whole spectrum of development, with training in Psychology, Modern Psychoanalysis and Clinical Social Work, a spiritual orientation, and foundation in universal values.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland and New Mexico
• Master’s Degree in Social Work – Clinical, with Honors
• Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology
• Currently in 6th year of private practice.
• 29 years’ post-graduate experience providing counseling services to military families and dependents in Japan and Okinawa for the prevention and treatment of child and spouse abuse and mental health treatment services to children, parents, and adults, marital counseling, and home studies for international adoptions.
• 5+ years’ prior experience in Child Protective Services for investigations, foster care, and adoptions.
• 3 years’ prior experience as a family therapist working with adjudicated youth in residential treatment.
• 7 years’ prior experience providing direct care and administrative services to developmentally disabled children and adults in residential care.
• 3 years’ prior experience as a Psychiatric Technician in in-patient psychiatric hospital care.
