About me
Are you navigating anxiety, depression, or unresolved trauma, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community? With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in offering compassionate, culturally informed support. Together, we'll create a path toward healing and growth grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship and personalized interventions tailored to your needs. Let's start your journey toward transformative change today.
I am a therapist with over 20 years of experience specializing in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals facing mood disorders like depression and anxiety. My therapeutic approach is relational and feminist, grounded in the belief that our past relationships shape who we are. I focus on issues such as gender dysphoria and LGBTQIA+ identity, providing a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.
My mental health journey began when I worked at a state psychiatric institution for a decade, where I witnessed the gaps in care that inspired my dedication to more compassionate therapy. After a five-year break to explore other fields, I returned to mental health with a renewed passion. I earned my BA in psychology in 2017, followed by an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020, and am now pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.
In addition to my formal education, I have training in integrative practices like mindfulness, yoga, herbalism, and aromatherapy. I blend traditional therapy with holistic approaches to support overall well-being. My goal is to provide individualized care that honors each client's unique experience.
