About me
I am insightful and empathetic, with a practical and successful approach to communication problems, anxiety, depression, and the impact of neurodivergent conditions such as autism and ADHD.
The best thing I offer is my unique perspective! When nothing else has seemed to work, I see situations in ways others do not. My passion for helping people through issues that come up in their lives dates back to my teenage years. As a marriage and family therapist, I approach couples, families, and individuals systemically, meaning taking into account everything and everyone that affects my clients. Generally, people come to therapy when they feel that nothing else has been working to address a significant concern in their lives, and I love helping my clients achieve the breakthroughs they have been seeking to address those concerns.
In addition to my professional training, I have experience as a marriage and family therapy client, such that I understand what it's like on both sides of the therapeutic process. If someone were to ask me what my past and present clients like the most about me as a therapist, I would say that it's the fact that "I get it".
I have found that neurodiversity is a factor in the concerns that cause people to seek therapy, much more often than people initially think. I have a lifetime of personal experience with neurodiversity and ever-increasing professional experience with it. I can help you get to that "aha moment" that you have wanted for a long time, whether it is because your situation involves some effects of neurodiversity or not.
I became a therapist because I saw the need for strong therapists who could see through people's situations and find solutions for them quickly, and I aim to be that therapist every day. If that's what you want in a therapist, contact me - I am still taking new clients!
