About me
I am very passionate about mental health and have been working in the field now for 10 years! I enjoy helping others in finding “their” peace from trauma and the things that it can bring along with it such as ADHD, OCD, PTSD, etc. I graduated from Seton Hill University with a Bachelor’s in Human Services in 2018. I went on to achieve my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University while working as a Supervisor of a drug and alcohol clinic. I completed my hours for becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a group practice. I then decided to branch off and start Darin King Counseling LLC.
I have extensive experience in counseling with children, teens, and adults. I have worked in various settings such as prisons, group homes, and outpatient settings handling mental health as well as drug and alcohol concerns. I also have experience working with children with ADHD and Autism. I am currently expanding my “Counseling” knowledge into the “Trauma” field as I want to be able to assist those who may be struggling with the effects of trauma. I am currently training in EMDR and can offer that as part of our sessions.
My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. Together, we’ll work to uncover insights, develop coping strategies, and empower you to make meaningful changes in your life. I look forward to walking with you on your journey!
You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in the past, or unsure how to move forward. My ideal client wants relief, clarity, and lasting change. They’re seeking a safe space to heal, grow, and better understand themselves. You don’t have to carry it all alone. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths and work toward the life you deserve—with compassion, insight, and support every step of the way.
I help clients heal from trauma using ACT, DBT, EMDR, and person-centered therapy. I offer a safe, supportive space to process pain, build healthy coping tools, and reconnect with your sense of self—so you can move forward with more clarity, strength, and peace.
You don’t have to face this alone. If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck. Please know that healing is possible. I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to support your journey. If you're ready for change, I’m here to walk that path with you.
