About me
I have worked in mental health for over 25 years and have extensive experience and training in high-conflict coparenting and assisting families of divorce. I am a therapist dedicated to helping people cope with major life changes, severe and persistent mental health concerns, depression, anxiety, and grief.
My favorite treatment modalities include cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), attachment theory, choice theory, and solution-focused therapy. When working with families involved in high-conflict divorce/family/coparenting situations, I follow the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) guidelines. I believe in meeting people where they are at and helping them discover alternative ways of thinking and coping with the challenges of life. I have experience in mediation, parenting coordination, equine-assisted psychotherapy, and case management. I believe in a strengths-based approach, which focuses on identifying a person's strengths and building upon those instead of focusing on negatives.
