Daniel Jasperson, MA, LCPC

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor through the state of Illinois with over eight years of experience working with adult clients who suffer with mental illness. Some areas of expertise include, but not limited to adjustment disorder, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, grief and loss, insomnia, major depressive disorder, and social anxiety.

My name is Dan Jasperson and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has been practicing as a licensed therapist since 2014. I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Il. After graduating in 2014, I have worked in a variety of treatment settings including outpatient, community mental health, hospitals, prisons, and treatment centers. I have experience working with adolescents, adult males and females. Currently, I only provide individual therapy.

I specialize in areas of adjustment disorders, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personal disorder, grief and loss, insomnia, major depression disorder, men’s issues, and social anxiety. I use an integrative approach which consists of Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to address the needs of the client.

In the past seven years, I have developed a philosophy that is centered around being humanistic, empathetic, and yet challenging to encourage clients to work towards their goals. Through using validation, compassion, and exploring obstacles to change, I help clients find meaning to inspire growth in a positive and meaningful way. I believe that each client is unique and I address their individual therapeutic needs by using a holistic approach.
