About me
Hi, I’m Dani, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is dedicated to walking with individuals who are seeking healing, hope, support, and wholeness.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist is the most important part of the therapeutic process. My hope is to create a safe environment, where individuals can experience compassion, empathy, healing, love, acceptance, and growth. I aim to understand all the different parts of individuals that make them who they are today. I believe that every individual has a story that deserves to be heard, and I am honored to listen and share a part in your story.
I use a trauma-informed, collaborative, person-centered approach to help foster growth and safety. I value your thoughts, beliefs, and insights, as I believe that inherently, people know themselves and their experience best. Should an you choose to pursue and engage in therapy with me, I will be a soundboard for your ideas, an explorer to understand the deeper parts of you, and an anchor to help ground you in moments of feeling overwhelmed. I know that seeking and beginning therapy can be intimidating. It takes a lot of courage to do something that requires deep vulnerability. It is my intention to honor that courage and vulnerability, and sit with you in the midst of fears that arise with the unknown and uncomfortable.
I work at Gentle Shepherd Counseling Center and earned my master’s degree from the Counseling and Human Development program at Walsh University. I treat individuals with various mental health concerns. My main areas of focus include body image concerns, eating issues, military and veterans’ problems, anxiety, depression, spiritual identity and concerns, identity development, self-esteem, life adjustments, and emotional regulation. I work with individuals who are adolescents (12 years old+) and adults (18 years old+). I am happy to offer Biblical, faith-based approaches for individuals who so desire it.
I am currently offering daytime and evening appointments to individuals who want to embark on the healing journey. Please call or email to begin the counseling process.
