About me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Marine Corps veteran with over 21 years of healthcare experience, dedicated to helping high-performing men — white collar and blue collar alike — break free from proof-based self-worth and build a stable internal identity beneath the performance.

Most men I work with have spent years becoming very good at performing their life. They hit the targets, hold the room, and carry more than anyone around them knows. And privately, underneath all of it, they're exhausted — not from the work, but from the weight of never feeling like enough no matter how much they accomplish.

That's the man I built this practice for. And I understand him — not just clinically, but personally. Before I was a therapist I was a U.S. Marine, trained to project strength, suppress what's underneath, and keep moving regardless of what I was carrying. I lived the gap between external performance and internal experience before I learned how to close it. That background is the foundation of everything I do.

I specialize in working with high-performing men — white collar and blue collar alike — navigating perfectionism, imposter syndrome, burnout, proof-based self-worth, identity, and the particular exhaustion that comes from holding everything together for everyone else while quietly running on empty inside.

My approach is grounded in Character Driven Therapy (CDT), an integrative framework I developed specifically for this population. CDT goes beneath the presenting problem — the anxiety, the burnout, the self-criticism — to the identity patterns driving them. We examine where your self-worth came from, why it's tied to output, and what it would mean to feel stable inside on a day when nothing goes right. Sessions draw from psychodynamic, existential, CBT, ACT, and Solution-Focused approaches — moving between insight and action so you leave each session with both understanding and something concrete to work with.

Sessions are direct and engaged. I'm not going to sit quietly while you talk in circles. I'll name the pattern I see, ask the question sitting in the room, and stay in the work with you. At the same time, this is always your work. You set the pace. Nothing gets pushed before you're ready.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and U.S. Marine Corps veteran with over 21 years of healthcare experience. My practice, Join the Rebellion 23 Inc., is fully remote across nine states: NC, NY, MA, FL, SC, CT, IL, UT, and ID. Sessions are $155, private pay, with superbills available for out-of-network reimbursement. Free 15-minute consultation to start.
