I am an addictionologist who is dedicated to helping people with addictions, and substance use disorders.
Cyril M. Scovens, M.S., LCADC, MAC, Addictionologist, is the Founder/President of CMS Institute of Addictionology, Inc. In this role, Cyril M. Scovens, M.S., MAC LCADC, oversees a team that provides comprehensive services in all aspects of Addiction Psychology, including Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery.
Cyril M. Scovens, M.S., LCADC, MAC, Addictionologist, is the Owner of Scovens & Associates, LLC, a private practice in treating all addictions, substances, and process addictions. He also serves as a consultant for addiction treatment programs to ensure compliance with CARF, MD C.O.M.A.R., and Maryland Behavioral Health Administration standards.
A strong advocate for the Science of Addiction, Cyril M. Scovens, M.S., LCADC, MAC, Addictionologist, supports efforts to coordinate a synergistic approach to addiction treatment.
Cyril M. Scovens is a qualified Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor and holds the Master of Science Degree in Addiction Counseling from Coppin State University. Mr. Scovens holds a Master's Addiction Counselor Certification from NAADAC and the NCC AP.
Cyril M. Scovens, M.S., LCADC, MAC, Addictionologist, is the current Board President of the Maryland Association of Addiction Professionals, Inc. (MAAP). He is also a current member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Maryland Chapter. He is also a current member of the National Board of Certified Counselors Foundation (NBCCF) and of the NAADAC Minority Fellowship Program Advisory Council (MFP-AC) Board.
