About me
I’m an LCSW in Florida with experience supporting adolescents & adults through anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, self-doubt, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity challenges, & the pressure that can come with trying to hold everything together. I especially enjoy working with students, athletes, performers, helping professionals, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, & high-achievers who may look capable on the outside while quietly struggling underneath.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in high-performance coaching, fitness, nutrition, & behavior change. That background continues to shape the way I practice today. I’m interested not only in helping you understand why you feel the way you do, but also in helping you translate that insight into meaningful changes you can actually use in everyday life. I also have 3+ yrs experience working with veterans at the VA Hospital and understand some of the unique challenges that can accompany service, major transitions, and rebuilding a sense of identity and direction.
My therapy style is warm, collaborative, practical, & human. I believe therapy can make room for difficult emotions without feeling clinical or impersonal. Sometimes our work may involve sitting with something painful, and sometimes there may be room for humor too. I tend to ask thoughtful questions, help clients connect patterns that may not have been obvious before, and gently challenge beliefs or behaviors that are keeping them stuck.
I believe many people come to therapy after spending a long time trying to be who they think they “should” be, meeting expectations, taking care of everyone else, or pushing themselves through situations that are no longer working. Therapy can be a place to put some of that down.
My goal is to help you understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your strengths, build confidence in your own decisions, and create changes that feel realistic, sustainable, and true to who you are.
You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out, and you don’t need to perform or have the “right” answers here. We’ll start with what is happening in your life now, what you would like to feel different, and what you need from therapy. From there, we’ll work together to create a direction that truly fits you.
