About me

Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about reconnecting with your clarity and strength—and choosing a path that feels more honest, spacious, and whole.

My approach is relational, collaborative, and rooted in deep respect for you, the client, as the expert. I draw from emotionally focused therapy, brainspotting, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral theory, internal family systems theory, cultural-relational frameworks, and attachment-based work. I also help clients explore how systems—like workplace culture, family dynamics, or broader social expectations—shape their experiences, and how to navigate those systems with clarity and self-trust.

Hi—I’m Dr. Connie Kim-Gervey, and I offer therapy that centers you: your story, your pace, your hopes, and your needs. I believe real growth happens when we feel safe enough to be honest—with ourselves and with someone else. My role is to create that kind of space: one where you can bring your full self, without judgment, and where we can work together to understand what’s getting in the way of the life you want to live.

I work with adults, adolescents, and parents navigating a wide range of concerns: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, shame, trauma, identity questions, relationship struggles, and challenges at school or work. I also support people experiencing isolation, alienation, stigma, or a persistent sense of disconnection in their lives.

As a second-generation Korean American, I bring a culturally grounded perspective to therapy. Many of my clients are Asian American, BIPOC, LGBTQIA2+, or identify with multiple, complex identities—but I also work with people of all backgrounds. What matters most is building a relationship where you feel safe, supported, and heard.
