Colleen Krystyniak, LMHC

I am a passionate, experienced trauma therapist (CCTP) who is dedicated to the science, art, magic and power of the therapeutic relationship to foster hope, enhance resilience, and promote recovery, healing & growth.

I was born with a passion for connecting with, inspiring & empowering others to live their fullest, happiest lives. I have spent nearly 30 years as a healthcare practitioner, beginning as an RN at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. For the past 15 years, I have focused on mental & emotional well-being. Recognizing that wellness includes our whole selves, inclusive of our bodies & somatic experiences, I am became a Certified Yoga Teacher, and RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance. I am certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) & value evidenced based treatment approaches that heal the whole self. I also know that the magic of recovery, healing & growth lies in the client and the power & synergy of the therapeutic relationship. I offer to be & walk "with" my clients as they share their most intimate experiences, fears, sorrows & aspirations. I share my genuine self, and some tools I've learned in my professional training, and simply living as an imperfect & feeling person. My clients take what is useful & leave the rest. By offering a “safe space” of unconditional positive regard that asks for honest & regular feedback, my clients help to shape my work with them towards what fits for their unique, individual needs. I genuinely love my work. My clients grow me every day. (In the backdrop, I have four children ranging in ages from 13-31 & a husband of 30 years who also continue to grow me. In my spare time, I love to write, practice yoga, walk in nature, & travel).
