About me
I help adults, couples and teens work through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, burnout, and the pressure of trying to hold everything together.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in the business and corporate world. That experience gave me a strong understanding of the pressure many people carry every day—high expectations, constant responsibility, burnout, performance stress, and the feeling that you always have to keep it together even when things feel heavy underneath. It also helps me connect well with professionals, high performers, and people who feel stretched thin by the demands of work and life.
Today, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of Polaris Counseling Group, where I provide therapy for adults and older teens who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, panic, stress, burnout, self-doubt, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, disconnected, or constantly on edge.
My approach is warm, practical, and direct. I aim to create a space where you can be honest about what is going on, feel understood without judgment, and begin making real progress. Therapy should not just help you get through the week — it should help you better understand yourself, work through the patterns that keep you stuck, and build healthier ways of coping and moving forward.
I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based strategies, and other practical tools tailored to your needs and goals. Whether you are navigating trauma, chronic stress, panic, relationship strain, or simply feeling like you have been carrying too much for too long, therapy can help you feel more grounded, clear, and in control again.
I offer both in-person counseling and online therapy for clients who want support that feels real, personal, and effective.
