About me
I have help adults and teens experiencing PTSD and trauma, depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, and other mental health challenges find hope and the strength to move forward.
I have 25 years’ experience in behavioral healthcare, including over 10 years of clinical practice with specialized training in suicidal crises and treatment of trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. I completed my PhD and MSW at the University of Utah, along with 21 months of post-doctoral training in the U's School of Medicine.
As a clinician, I am nonjudgemental but also direct and solution-focused. I value client self-determination and evidence-based practices. I help clients understand and manage their thoughts, emotion, and behavior in the context of their personal history, current challenges, and long-term goals. Collaboratively, I set measurable goals with clients and utilize practical cognitive behavioral strategies proven to help them achieve their desired therapeutic and life goals.
