About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in NY, NJ & PA with a Graduate Certificate in Thanatology (Grief) and Play Therapy. I am fortunate to have 15 years + years of experience in therapy, and social work, across a variety of platforms. I received my Masters degree from Fordham University in NYC. Rooted in my Caribbean heritage, I draw on both professional expertise and cultural perspective to guide my practice. My Specialty is using Talk Therapy to help relieve mental and emotional distress. I take a warm, creative, and holistic approach, creating a safe and supportive space where clients can heal, grow, and thrive.
Poinciana Therapy LLC was named from the Poinciana tree in my home country, St. Kitts-Nevis. At Poinciana Therapy LLC, I use the Poinciana Tree as a metaphor to guide the therapeutic journey. Just as a tree grows from strong roots into vibrant blooms, healing and personal growth happen through understanding, nurturing, and intentional care. Therapy is not a one size fit all. My approach is collaborative, holistic, and tailored to each client. I use Solution-Focused, Narrative and Therapy to name a few.
