About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Graduate Certificate in Thanatology, a Play Therapy Certificate and over 15 years of experience in therapy, social work, and medical social services. I received my Masters degree from Fordham University in NYC. Rooted in my Caribbean heritage, I draw on both professional expertise and cultural perspective to guide my practice. My Specialty is using Talk Therapy to help relieve mental and emotional distress. I take a warm, creative, and holistic approach, creating a safe and supportive space where clients can heal, grow, and thrive.
Therapy is not a one size fit all. My approach is collaborative, holistic, and tailored to each client. I use Solution-Focused, Narrative and Therapy to name a few. It’s evidence-based strategies along with creativity and cultural awareness to support healing and growth. Poinciana Therapy LLC - “ Where passion meets healing, and harmony takes root.”
Clients can expect practical tools, fresh perspective, and greater confidence in managing challenges. My goal is to help you build resilience, clarity, and lasting positive change.
