About me
I have extensive experience providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals aged 13 years and over, as well as couples. I work with a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, those experiencing family violence (victims and perpetrators), coping/adjustment issues to life challenging circumstances, low self-esteem, complex trauma, self-harm, suicide risk, relationship difficulties, parenting issues and couples counselling.
Using a person-centred approach, I work respectfully and collaboratively with the individual and/or couple's needs to increase their self-awareness and facilitate change in behaviour, entrenched thinking patterns and more deeply ingrained emotional difficulties.
I utilise a variety of evidence-based modalities including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
Trauma-Informed Theory, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, and Motivational Interviewing, amongst others that are tailored to each person’s unique needs and centred around their well-being.
I am committed to creating a welcoming, accepting, and healing environment where individuals can freely share their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. I aim to assist clients work through issues and equip them with practical tools to make meaningful changes to live a live they love. Additionally, I value client feedback, ensuring our sessions remain meaningful and purposeful.
