About me

I’m a experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and founder of Sankofa Wellness Therapy, a fully virtual practice offering trauma-informed, culturally affirming care for adult individuals. I specialize in helping clients navigate relational challenges, emotional regulation, and identity development through a strengths-based, integrative lens. My work blends evidence-based modalities—including CBT, DBT, ACT, Gottman Method, and sex-positive couples therapy—to support healing, growth, and connection across the lifespan.

I believe people are doing the best they can with the tools they have—and when those tools stop working, therapy can offer new ones. I work from a reality therapy perspective, which means I focus on what’s within your control, what you want from your relationships, and how your choices align with your values. I don’t pathologize—I collaborate. Whether you’re navigating trauma, intimacy challenges, parenting stress, or identity shifts, I’m here to help you reconnect with your sense of power, purpose, and possibility.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and founder of Sankofa Wellness Therapy, I offer trauma-informed, culturally responsive care for individuals, couples, families, and children. My sessions are structured but warm, integrating CBT, DBT, ACT, Gottman Method, and sex-positive couples work. I adapt my approach to meet you where you are—whether that’s building routines with your child, deepening emotional intimacy with your partner, or simply finding your footing again.

Therapy with me is practical, affirming, and choice-driven. You’ll leave each session with something tangible: a new insight, a tool, a plan, or a shift in perspective. My goal is to help you move from feeling stuck to feeling capable—because change doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be possible.
