Christy Elder

Hi, I’m Christy! I am a trans-identified, person-centered, trauma-informed therapist. My approach is integrative and collaborative. I enjoy working together, finding ways to make meaning of your experiences, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and build pathways toward the life you want to live. I am passionate about working with individuals navigating sexuality and exploring gender identity. I am poly and kink affirming, and I strive to create a nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where diverse relationship structures and expressions of intimacy are respected and understood.

My interests include gender identity exploration and transition support, sexuality and relationship concerns, trauma-informed therapy, anxiety and depression, and grief/loss and depression. Whether you are moving through a major change, processing trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I will walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and clinical skill. Narrative therapy is central to my work. I help clients explore the stories they’ve been told by family, society, systems, and themselves to reclaim agency of their identities and futures. I also incorporate mindfulness-based practices and draw from DBT, CBT, REBT, and neurolinguistic techniques to provide practical tools for emotional regulation.
