About me
My name is Christopher Hale, I am a Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) licensed in the state of Connecticut. I earned a Doctoral Degree in Education (EdD), Master of Social Work (MSW), and a Master of Arts in Psychology (MA).I have been providing psychotherapy and counseling services for more than ten years.
I have worked with adults, children, couples and families with issues from depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, work issues, parenting, relational difficulties, anger management and issues of daily living. My counseling style combines strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, client-centered therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused approaches to help individuals achieve their therapeutic goals. I provide a safe, secure and judgement free environment to help build your coincidence, coping skills, and tools to problem solve. Prior to a career in counseling; I was a police officer, it seemed that people who protect and serve often do not reach out for help. I hope if you are a first responder you will consider giving me the opportunity to work with you to help coping with the chronic stress of shift-work and the many other stressors that may diminish your quality of life. My goal is to help you improve your mental health and achieve your goals. No matter how big or small your issue maybe I am here to help.
