About me
In our work together, you can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and empowered. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, questions about identity, or navigating life transitions, we will focus on building insight, developing practical coping strategies, and nurturing self-compassion. Over time, you’ll gain a clearer understanding of your thoughts and emotions, recognize patterns rooted in past experiences, and learn tools to respond more effectively in the present.
My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, set realistic and meaningful goals, and create lasting change. I believe therapy is about more than problem-solving—it’s about learning to trust yourself, make choices that align with who you are, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to blend deep empathy with clear, insightful guidance. I listen without judgment while helping you recognize patterns and connections that may not be immediately obvious. With years of experience supporting teens and young adults in school settings, I bring a grounded and relatable approach to my work. I also specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, offering affirming support around gender and sexual identity, coming out, and navigating life transitions.
I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field and am dedicated to helping you navigate life’s challenges with empathy and understanding. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Rider University and my M.A. in Counseling from New York University. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds, supporting individuals facing anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, identity challenges, career and college transitions, stress, and other life adjustments. My area of expertise is working with the LGBTQIA+ community, and I strive to provide a safe and affirming space where people of all orientations and identities can heal, grow, and thrive. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy going for walks with my dog, playing pickleball, and playing the piano.
