About me
Christine Herzog is the founder of Hygge Counseling Services. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor in AZ, MN, DE, CT & NM. Christine is trained in Perinatal mental health, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, early childhood mental health, and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality. Are you feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, stressed, angry, or having difficulty identifying your purpose? I provide a safe space for engaging in psychotherapy where individuals feel heard. I focus on meeting the needs of each client with coping skills for regulating mood, gaining awareness of triggers, and pursuing personal growth. My specialization is working with women experiencing infertility, loss due to a miscarriage, pregnancy and adjusting to postpartum. I have extensive experience supporting individuals with ASD, mood disorders, and suicidal ideation. I utilize a strength based, client-centered approach with components of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and DBT.
Christine Herzog is a nationally certified counselor through NBCC and a licensed professional clinical counselor in multiple states. She is a board-certified supervisor for clinicians pursuing licensure. Her clinical work has included providing a range of service intensities, settings, & modalities. Christine has worked with clients in early childhood through adulthood with a variety of mental health needs. Christine creates a supportive and comfortable environment to process thoughts and emotions. She listens to her client's goals that bring them to therapy. She strives to meet clients' individual and systemic level needs. She will provide resources and advocate for her clients. Christine has implemented an array of treatment approaches including elements of attachment, multicultural, CBT, humanistic, positive psychology, and family systems. Christine is certified in Parent-Child Psychotherapy, completed crisis care training by CAMS, and is trained by PSI in Perinatal mental health. Christine looks forward to providing an individualized approach by creating a safe space. The hardest step in counseling is setting up and attending the first intake session. I believe that creating an environment that eases worry and feels like unconditional support is an important part of my role in the therapeutic relationship. Tele-health provides an easily accessible and flexible format to engaging in psychotherapy to reduce barriers.
