About me
Christina Toner has been described as “The Queen of Hype” and loves to see the best in her clients and inspire them to recognize their own inner strengths. As an AMFT, she brings authentic curiosity and to her work with individuals, couples, and families. Christina’s approach integrates both science and soul, bridging evidence-based therapeutic modalities with a deeply intuitive, human-centered presence. She is deeply intuitive and genuinely cares about her clients, while never shying away from radical honesty, especially when the truth is uncomfortable. Christina believes that confronting difficult realities and facing hard truths is an essential part of growth, healing, and lasting change.
Christina adores all of her clients and believes in every person’s inherent worth, capacity for healing, and their right to live authentically. Whether her clients are navigating trauma, relationship conflict, identity exploration, or personal growth, she holds space that is compassionate, safe, and empowering.
She is also not afraid to help her clients see their shadows and believes that true healing requires both gentle acceptance and courageous confrontation. She helps her clients’ build the strength to look at the parts of themselves they’ve been taught to hide.
Christina has a knack for uncovering those sneaky hidden parts of her clients’ psyches through what she jokingly calls “mental detective work.” With playful curiosity and mischievous compassion, she helps clients trace the subtle threads that connect present struggles to past experiences, uncovering the origins of trauma, developmental hindrances, and long-held emotional patterns. Together, she and her clients investigate their inner worlds while gathering evidence, examining emotional clues, and piecing together the story beneath the surface. Through this process, Christina helps clients make sense of their internal landscapes, transforming confusion into clarity. Her favorite thing to hear during a therapy session is “Oh my God! That’s why!” Her approach empowers clients to see how past pain continues to shape present behavior, and in doing so, opens the door to healing, integration, and self-compassion. (It’s kind of fun actually!)
