About me
I am a mental health therapist licensed in Oregon and Washington. I specialize in helping women heal from trauma. I am also experienced in helping people recover from depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and grief. I utilize Cognitive Behavoral Therapy, Mindfulness based stress reduction, and self-compassion. In session I strive for a balance between being solutions/skills focused and talk it out. Sometimes you just need someone who will listen without judgement. Other times you need something to take away that will help you feel better. I work to offer both, when appropriate. Other areas of interest to me include harm redution in substance use, healing from disordered eating, and parenting based on values and focused on relationship.
I am virtual only at this time and offer a variety of appointment times including evenings and weekends. I work around your needs. Some folks come weekly, others semi weekly or monthly or less. I want to help you lead a happier, more fulfilling life.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my pets, taking a neighborhood walk, or planning my next trip to Disney. I am also a parent to a teenager.
Although I am not personally apart of the communities I try to always be learning and supportive of people with disabilities, those on the spectrum, and folks in the LGBTQIA+ communities.
