About me

You are a gift! Sometimes we do not know what gifts we have until we unwrap the packaging. I want to help you "unwrap" the packaging and to help you reveal your gifts. It's not about me, it's about you. I will be your support. However, please note, when things seem challenging in therapy, let's talk about it.

In our work together, you will find a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and strive to create an environment where you feel heard, understood, and valued. Whether you are dealing with past trauma, seeking to enhance your coping skills, or aiming for personal growth, depression, anxiety, I am here to guide and support you every step of the way. I am pretty down-to-earth, humorous, can be challenging, and enjoy working with puppets when appropriate, yes, with adults. Life can be very challenging, I get it!

I take an integrative approach when working with my clients because healing requires more than just talking about challenges—it involves addressing how trauma and emotional distress manifest in both the mind and body. Trauma is not just a distressing memory; it can also show up physically, affecting how you feel and respond to the world around you. For example, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, along with Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, which focuses on bringing harmony within. IFS is not family therapy but rather a way to understand that different parts of you may be in pain and in conflict with each other. By working with these parts, we aim to create balance and healing from the inside out. This is an example; however, each person may benefit from different treatment types that are best suited to their needs. This is about you. Please feel free to message me or call to schedule your initial consultation.

I accept most insurances including but not limited to Cigna, BCBS, Anthem, Kaiser, Velocity, Unity, Prime, United, CareSource, Optum, Medicaid and Medicare (Please see below for other insurances accepted)!

I hope to see you soon!

I understand the frustration of trying to get a person on the phone. However, please be reassured that I usually respond the same day to texts, emails, or voicemails. All I ask is that you leave your name, number and reason for calling. If you leave a text message, you can just put "therapy". Then I will contact you for a brief call to answer any questions you may have.
