About me
As a Family Therapist and a Psychologist I have dedicated my professional life to helping people heal from trauma, anxiety, depression and anger. I specialize in Co-Dependency issues, Anger, Depression/Anxiety, all types of Sexual abuse, and veterans with combat trauma. I help my patients figure out how to stop doing what doesn't work and move forward in life with tools that do work. I have both In-Person and online Telehealth sessions available.
I have spent 20 years specializing how trauma affects the brain and how to help people heal their lives from the damage of trauma and/or addiction. As an adoptive parent, I also enjoy helping adoptive parents and children navigate the challenges associated with singular or multiple attachment disruptions, complex trauma, grief, loss, etc. I listen and care about my clients. As a Christian therapist, I try to help my clients not only heal from trauma/abuse/addictions/etc.; while improving their mental well-being, working toward achieving their life goals, and to see themselves as God see them.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I use systemic family therapy, play therapy, and multigenerational family systems approaches to help individuals and families work toward healing. As a Psychologist, I also use EMDR, CBT, DBT to help increase individuals' ability to cope and manage negative emotions and/or heal from trauma.
I love working with people. Your time is valuable, I make a priority to try to return phone calls/texts/emails within one business day.
