About me

I am an LPC Associate, U.S. Army veteran, and therapist dedicated to helping adults navigate trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and life transitions through compassionate, personalized care.

Taking the step to seek support is a powerful decision, and finding the right fit for your therapy journey matters. If you are looking for a non-judgmental space where you can show up entirely as you are, you’ve found it. I believe therapy works best when rooted in genuine respect, authentic collaboration, and a personalized approach tailored to your unique life experience.

Whether you are navigating the heavy weight of past trauma, working through anxiety, or managing everyday life stresses, I am here to walk alongside you as an active partner in your growth.

Real-Life Experience Meets Compassionate Care
My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight line, and that background brings a grounded, real-world perspective to our sessions. My background includes:

U.S. Army Veteran: I understand first-hand the distinct culture, transitions, and challenges that come with military service and life as a veteran.

11 Years as a Small Business Owner: I know the dedication, high stress, and balance required to run an organization from the ground up.

4 Years as an International Educator: Living and teaching overseas broadened my understanding of diverse cultural perspectives, communication styles, and human resilience.

Family & Personal Life: I’ve been happily married for 28 years, homeschool my 9-year-old daughter, and love exploring the world through travel, swimming, and relaxing with classic sci-fi like Star Trek: The Next Generation.

These diverse chapters taught me a universal truth: no matter your background, culture, or lifestyle, everyone deserves a safe, quiet place to heal, grow, and be truly heard.

Areas of Focus
I specialize in providing telehealth therapy across Texas for adults experiencing:

PTSD & Veteran Support: Navigating military trauma, service connection adjustments, and complex stress.

Healing Childhood Trauma: Unpacking long-standing patterns and pain to foster emotional freedom.

Anxiety & Depression: Developing manageable coping strategies to navigate overwhelmed feelings or deep fatigue.

Everyday Concerns & Lifestyle Stress: Finding balance through major life changes, career shifts, and personal transitions.

My Therapeutic Approach
No two people are the same, which is why your therapeutic journey should never be a one-size-fits-all model. My approach is highly individualized, drawing upon evidence-based strategies to match your specific goals and personality:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To help you cultivate psychological flexibility, accept what is outside your control, and commit to actions that align with your core values.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help you examine and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that keep you feeling stuck.

Person-Centered Therapy: Ensuring you feel respected, heard, and in the driver’s seat of your therapeutic process.

Together, we’ll look at what’s currently working in your life, challenge what feels stuck, and build practical tools to help you move forward with confidence.

Convenient, Secure Telehealth Across Texas
Care should be accessible and fit seamlessly into your life. I provide fully remote, HIPAA-compliant telehealth services to clients anywhere in Texas—including Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas–Fort Worth, Central Texas, and rural communities.

Video Sessions: For a face-to-face, interactive online therapy environment.

Phone Sessions: For a focused conversation free from screen fatigue.
