About me
I help Asian American professionals, caregivers, and creatives seeking clarity, unburdening, healing, and reconnection through both ongoing therapy and focused therapy intensives.
Sometimes weekly therapy just isn’t enough or even feasible. Life can feel too urgent, too tangled, or too emotionally heavy to unravel in fragmented 50-minute sessions. I offer private, immersive therapy intensives for individuals seeking a spacious, focused opportunity to do meaningful inner work. These intensives are designed for clients who want deep transformation, not just symptom relief.
As a Korean American therapist, I bring cultural humility and lived insight to my work with clients navigating identity, intergenerational expectations, and the impact of relational wounds. My practice centers individuals and caregivers who have often felt like they’re carrying more than their share, emotionally, culturally, or silently.
Therapy intensives are ideal for those who are:
- Burnt out from caregiving, perfectionism, or work pressure
- Adult children of immigrants navigating cultural identity and conflicting value-ladden roles
- Experiencing grief, emotional numbness, or stuckness in life transitions
- Struggling in relationships marked by anxiety, self-abandonment, or emotional shutdown
- Seeking integration after previous therapy or retreat experiences
- Therapists, healers, or sensitive professionals needing space to heal and reflect
- Individuals managing ADHD, sensory sensitivity, or executive functioning overwhelm
- Adoptees processing identity, belonging, and early emotional rupture
- Parents of children struggling with ARFID, an eating disorder that is so often missed or misunderstood
My clinical background includes working with:
- Trauma (complex, developmental, relational, intergenerational)
- Anxiety and relationship challenges shaped by cultural dynamics
- Parenting stress and breaking generational cycles
- Burnout and emotional depletion
- Boundary challenges, people-pleasing, and internalized pressure to “be good”
- Adult ADHD and neurodivergence
- Grief and ambiguous loss
- Trauma (complex, developmental, relational, intergenerational)
- Adoption-related identity and loss
Clients often find me when they’ve outgrown surface-level coping. Many have tried therapy before but are now craving a more focused and transformative experience — one that allows for momentum, deeper insight, and real integration.
In an intensive, we carve out a full morning or afternoon (or an entire day) to slow down and go inward with great focus and purpose. We begin with intention-setting and grounding, then move into deep emotional exploration using parts work, value identification, relational reflection, and body-based awareness. Our extended time together allows for natural unfolding, connection, and integration, all without rushing to wrap up just as we’re getting to the heart of the matter.
My style is warm, attuned, curious, and compassionate. My clients appreciate how I show up as my full, authentic self — human first, therapist second. I'm not afraid to be real with you, to meet you with directness when it's needed, and even a bit of humor when it helps lighten the emotional load. They often say it feels like talking to someone who truly gets it, not someone just watching from a distance. I draw from depth-oriented, relational therapy, attachment theory, parts work, somatic reflection, and at leaning on nature to provide metaphorical winsom and healing nurturance. I’m particularly attuned to the quiet pain of those who’ve felt responsible for others their whole lives — those who’ve had to be the strong one, the easy-goer, the peacekeeper, or the achiever.
You don’t have to piece yourself together in short, weekly fragments. Therapy intensives offer a path to healing that honors the whole of your story, your culture, your resilience, and the tender parts that haven’t yet had space to breathe. If you’re ready for focused, compassionate support and the time to truly go inward, I’d be honored to accomany you on that journey.
I provide online therapy to anyone residing throughout Maryland and Virginia, and some in-person therapy intensives at select locations in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Harford County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Prince George's County.
