About me
Chima is the CEO and founder of the private practice Kabod Counseling. Chima is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a clinical trauma professional who empower teen girls & millennial’s who battle depression, anxiety, and trauma in the state of FL and NY.
Chima has a passion for youth in the foster care system. She has extensive history of working with adolescents and their families as an intensive family therapist providing in-home therapy. She has worked as a clinical director in a juvenile detention center and has worked as a consultant and therapist at an all-girls therapeutic group home. Currently, along with the private practice, Chima serves as a comprehensive behavioral assessor providing assessments with recommendation and interventions for the courts and providers for kids who has being taken out of their homes due to abuse or neglect.
Chima is especially passionate to help adolescent girls and adult women overcome a history of sexual trauma. Instead of feeling damaged, she is eager for young girls and women to enhance their true authentic self, find their voice, dignified identity and worth as conqueror’s.
Chima’s mission and passion are supporting teens and families in navigating through issues of trauma, anxiety, depression, and difficult transitions.
Her therapeutic focus is to assist her clients to reconstruct a positive sense of self, gain safety, and reconnect to build healthy relationships with themselves, others and a fulfilled life.
