About me
I am an experienced therapist with more than 20 years of experience working with children ages 9 to adults 85 helping them deal with anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, eating disorder, grief, PTSD, substance abuse, mood disorder, etc.
As a therapist, my goal is to provide empathy and compassion in an emotionally safe environment. I am passionate about helping people through the most difficult challenges life may have. I work with people to build their self-worth, ease emotional pain, and help regain a sense of enjoyment in their life as they once had. I envision helping people recognize their strengths, then build on them to become more self confident, happy and aware.
I draw from several empirically validated treatment approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Dialectical Behavior Treatment, Motivational interviewing, Person-Centered, Mindfulness, and Expressive Art Therapy. In sessions I am active with you and will be a source of support and be an active listener.
My commitment to you is to help you is to help learn the strengths you have within, and to use those strengths to ease the internal turmoil and emotional pain you may have. As we work together, we will discover and put in place strategies to help you become the person you are capable of being. “Choice, not chance, determines your destiny. (Aristotle)
