About me
I am Cheryl Garrett, owner of Talladega Behavioral Healthcare Services, LLC, with 28 years of experience in rehabilitation. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation from Troy University and a master’s in clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Auburn University. As an Associate Licensed Counselor in Alabama, I work under the supervision of Nieshia M. Brown, Ed.S, LPC-S. My passion is helping individuals and families, particularly those affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD), navigate life’s challenges with empathy and care. As a mother of two children with special abilities, I understand these struggles personally and aim to provide a space for healing and growth. I offer individualized and group therapy to build communication, emotional regulation, and socialization skills, fostering positive change in a collaborative and supportive environment. My counseling philosophy uses CBT to help clients reframe thoughts and drive positive change.
Taking the first step toward healing can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to do it alone. At Talladega Behavioral Health Care Services, we provide a non-judgmental approach as we are here to listen, support, and help you rediscover your path to change.
