About me

My approach to therapy is best described as caring, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, and by applying range of theoretical orientations, approaches and techniques, we will discover patterns that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life and the ability to heal, to love and feel loved.
Grief, loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD, Asperger and the autism spectrum disorders, divorce, cultural diversity and adjustment, are among the different issues I have experience working with. I believe in long-term approaches yet work with short term goals as well. I work with adult individuals, and couples.

My Philosophical approach
I believe that all people have innate skills and strengths and have the potential to live rich and meaningful lives but sometimes get stuck in patterns and behaviors that interfere with their ability to grow. I believe psychotherapy is an important tool to help people discover their natural ability to heal, to love and to live healthy and fulfilling lives. I engage with clients and help them to explore the whole of the client’s life and address the complex and varied realities that impact them and their families. I have a warm, non-judgmental approach that provides an opportunity to address short and long terms goals, crisis situations, and long-term underlying issues. I work to help individuals better understand themselves and families each other.

I believe in long-term approaches, yet understand that short term therapy might work better for some. I work with school-age children, pre-teens, adolescents, and their families, as well as individual adults and couples.
From a systems perspective I believe that a child’s health and happiness is directly related to their family’s health and happiness, and I incorporate whole family sessions to support growth, connection and positive change. I believe our families and early life experiences help define who we are at all of our life stages. Exploring, understanding and working through our early imprints is key to living a full and meaningful life.
As a therapist who specializes in Expressive Art Therapy I offer my clients to incorporate sand tray and different art modalities such as images, music, drawings etc’ into their work.
When I work with children, I strongly believe in facilitating family work – since I believe that many of the issues the children deals with are part of the systemic family. Each case requires a deferent kind of work, and approach, yet whenever it is possible I involve parents and family in the therapeutic work.
Working with teens, I try to create a safe and holding environment by inviting the teen to share their world by texts, music and images.
Any client is an ideal client – as far as they are present in the moment and come to therapy willing to explore. I enjoy the challenge of helping people to trust the process and themselves to find their inner strengths and resources.
I love being a Psychotherapist. It is the profession I chose, and I’m eager to work. I love working in a team settings, and as much as I’m interested in a private practice kind of setting, I appreciate the milieu part of clinics – where one has a cohesive group of colleagues to consult with and get support.
I’m a curious learner, eager to improve and master my skills just as much as I am open to share my passion and knowledge with more professional people in the field.
I will be happy to answer more questions, and meet with you in person,
