About me
I am an experienced therapist specializing in the treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, with a strong foundation in trauma-informed and evidence-based care.
I am a Master’s-level social worker with over 10 years of experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Boise State University in 2015 and have specialized in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-focused treatment throughout my career.
For the past three years, I have worked in a residential substance abuse treatment setting, supporting clients in developing effective coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and relapse-prevention tools to navigate life stressors without returning to substance use. My clinical approach is trauma-informed, skills-based, and collaborative, with an emphasis on helping clients build insight, resilience, and sustainable behavior change.
I am trained in DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Shame-Informed Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I am passionate about helping clients heal from trauma, reduce maladaptive coping patterns, and move toward meaningful, values-driven lives.
