Charlotte Kennedy

I am a Christian with a passion for helping others. I have been a licensed Master Social Worker in Michigan since 2005. I have provided therapeutic counseling to children and adults from all walks of life for years. Some areas of focus for my clients are anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting skills, anger management, abuse, neglect, domestic violence, self-care, etc.

My extensive social work experience spans over 35 years with a background working with children, teens, parents, grandparents, and families across the state of Michigan. Majority of my work experience has been in the human services area where I interacted with individuals and families within the child welfare community, court systems, school systems, and private human service agencies. I also have a wealth of knowledge and experience with macro level management, policy development, and developing professional relationships across the human service field.

My treatment approach is to provide the support and guidance individuals need develop tools and strategies that will assist them in managing their life circumstances. I utilize various therapeutic approaches to accomplish this task. Therapy is a process and it will take some work. I assist my clients by supporting them along their life journey. I will listen to the clients concerns, gather some background information, assess and discuss their needs, and together we will strategically establish interventions or goals that are attainable, meaningful, and promote a wholesome lifestyle.

My clients are treated with respect, compassion, and patience. Life happens and sometimes, coping with life circumstances can be challenging. I will meet you where you are.
