About me
I am a Christian clinical psychologist, and I specialize in helping people recover from traumatic events that have negatively impacted their lives. My hope is that my clients will feel unconditionally supported and accepted throughout this process. I have experience working with a wide variety of people, but have spent the majority of my practice working with veteran and first responder populations to address lifespan PTSD. I look forward to working with you to improve the quality of life that you may feel has been lost to trauma.
My approach to therapy is to allow my clients to feel safe and accepted as they share the memories from, in most cases, the worst day of their lives. I utilize a variety of different treatment options, CPT, PE, EMDR, COPE, NET, WET, AD-E and CBCT, that target the primary symptoms of PTSD most prominently, negative beliefs and avoidant behaviors. During our first session together, a trauma informed intake interview will help me learn how to help you recover from the traumatic event and we will establish a diagnosis. We will discuss the various treatment options in-depth and together create a treatment plan for healing. My clients would describe me as a compassionate and caring therapist that they have felt safe, in some cases, for the first time in their lives sharing the nightmare they have experienced. I look forward to walking beside you along the path toward healing.
