About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with several years of experience working in the mental health field.
My approach is grounded in empathy, non-judgment, and empowerment. I believe that mental health is one of the most vital aspects of our well-being, and nurturing it can lead to profound, positive change.
Having gone through my own personal journey with therapy, I understand how transformative the process can be. I strive to create a space where you feel truly heard and supported. In this space, your emotions are valid, your challenges are respected, and your growth is the focus. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we explore what’s hurting, build on your strengths, and develop the tools to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
I grew up in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to the US at the age of 12. I experienced first hand how difficult it can be to adapt to a completely new environment and to handle new life transitions. I graduated from UTSA with a bachelors in Psychology and then earned a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston-Victoria. I am a person that firmly believes that taking care of your mental and emotional wellbeing is imperative in leading a fulfilling life. I try to do this by tending to my hobbies (music and art), as well as spending time with my friends, family and dogs.
