About me
I’m a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner dedicated to helping you feel balanced, supported, and understood. My approach integrates CBT, mindfulness, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and a trauma-informed perspective. I specialize in college students, young adults, teens, and caregivers, as well as perinatal and postpartum parents and those coping with a child’s hospitalization or NICU stay. I combine therapy and medication management with a focus on nutrition optimization through food and supplements to promote lasting emotional and physical wellness.
Hello — I’m glad you found your way here!
I’m a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with over 17 years of experience in health care, committed to helping people move from surviving to thriving. My guiding belief is that emotional wellness is deeply intertwined with the body, environment, and life story.
My clinical approach integrates evidence-based tools like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), mindfulness, psychoeducation, and motivational interviewing, all set within a trauma-informed and compassionate framework. I see therapy as collaborative: your lived experience and strengths always guide our work together.
I specialize in working with:
-Teen, college students, and young and middle-aged adults, facing identity shifts, academic stress, or life transitions
-Caregivers and parents, especially those in the perinatal/postpartum period
-Parents of children currently hospitalized or in the NICU, offering support through intense stress, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm
In addition to psychotherapy, I offer medication management when needed, and I bring in nutrition optimization via whole foods and targeted supplements to support mood, energy, and resilience. I also provide custom vitamin formulations aligned with your health goals and biochemical needs.
At Skylight Ascend Wellness, we believe healing is not a linear path — it’s unique, nonlinear, and deeply personal. My hope is to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore, heal, grow, and build sustainable resilience. If you’re ready, let’s walk this journey together.
