About me
Hello and thank you for taking the first brave and courageous step to being happier! You deserve to take control and be on track in life. You're ready for a change - something positive - in the right direction and most of all YOU are the one in control, with the ability to live your life despite all the ups and downs. I'm here to help you with those life challenges - no matter what they are. Sometimes we need a helping hand to help us get back on track. This is my calling. I have diverse experience with young adults as well as those over 25 years old in many areas including anxiety, depression, mood shifts, grief, career, relationship/marriage stress and life purpose as well as many other needs.
My foundation is in the Cognitive Behavioral Treatment model along with others I may use in our sessions to better assist your needs. For more information on how this model can help you and other resources available please visit http://nacbt.org/whatiscbt.htm. In addition, should we agree to proceed with treatment/counseling I firmly believe in combining other treatment methods that include solutions and balance of social, spiritual, environmental, and physical aspects of functioning. By exploring these along with development of specific treatment goals, there is a greater chance of successful outcomes. I look forward to working with you and please let me know if you have any questions.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2007 from Georgia State University then graduated from Argosy University in 2010 with a Master's in Community Counseling. I have experience in treating a wide variety of issues from anxiety and depression to marriage and grief. Additionally, I was able to earn a Marriage and Family Certificate from Argosy University in 2011 and Gottman Certifications 1 and 2 in 2016.
